Es Paradis IbizaHistoryHaving opened in 1975, Es Paradis is the second oldest club in Ibiza (Pacha being the oldest). It is popular with British youngsters based in San An but fails to draw crowds from further afield as the nighlife on offer has gone downhill a little in recent years. The clientele Es Paradis tends to attract are more the Club 18-30 element, though the atmosphere in the club is always quite good. For clubbers who love quality house music, it’s perhaps somewhat of a shame that the nights at Es Paradis do not do the venue justice.
LocationDirectly on the San Antonio waterfront, opposite the harbour. It's only a 5
minute walk from the West End. The disco bus takes clubbers back and forth
between the Bay and club throughout the night. Music PolicyThe music at Es Paradis veers towards the more commercial side of dance, with the likes of DJ Sammy having his own night for the past couple of years. However it is perhaps the only club in Ibiza you can hear Hardcore, with Helter Skelter residing at the club in recent times.
Es Paradis is probably one of the most beautiful clubs in Ibiza. It has capacity for around 3000. The decor is mainly white and ornate, large Roman style columns and marble surfaces decorated by the extensive greenery throughout the club. The glass pyramid roof is opened in the day to give sunlight to this greenery. The main dance floor is overlooked by the DJ booth and a large podium for the
professional dancers.
PricesThe price of entrance to Es Paradis tends to range from €25-40 (£17-28). However you can sometimes get massively reduced rates from the bars and PRs around San Antonio. Drink prices tend to be cheaper than the other big clubs, so expect to pay around €5 (£3.50) for a beer, €8 (£5.50) for a spirit + mixer, and €5 (£3.50) for water.
